Smart Engineering has performed energy certification of Aircraft Maintenance Bases at Athens International Airport, in order to establish current energy consumption of the building followed by proposals to reduce energy consumption and upgrade the facility. All works where performed in close cooperation with the Technical Services of Athens International Airport and Aegean Airlines.

Works included detailed survey of the building and the mechanical and electrical installations, examination of current energy consumption, examination of structural elements so as to establish insulating properties, modeling of the installation with dedicated software and calculation of current energy consumption.
